Construction to Begin on Pump Track at Quidi Vidi Lake

Construction of a pump track at Quidi Vidi Lake is slated to begin this week.

The city describes a pump track as a “progressive circuit” where riders use an up and down pumping motion to propel themselves forward instead of pedaling, thus developing biking and riding skills.

It is suitable for bikes, skateboards, scooters, and wheelchairs.

The track will be located on the green space near the dog park. The construction zone will be fenced off with no public access. Some heavy machinery will require access to the Boulevard during this time.

The track is expected to be complete by October.
