From sprawling castles to a UFO-inspired abode, Airbnb has revealed its most wish-listed unique homes in the UK — and they’re all available to book now.
Quirky properties are most certainly on the rise, with Airbnb reporting a 113 per cent increase in unique properties from 2019 to 2021. Whether it’s domes, windmills, lighthouses or trains, Brits are continuing to search for out-of-the-ordinary staycations away from the crowds.
‘It is easier than ever for guests to search unique listing types, discovering unique homes and hosts they may have otherwise overlooked,’ say Airbnb. ‘A brand new OMG! Category, which has been clicked on over 2.5 million times since launch3, also showcases the most unusual of all unique homes on the platform, such as a UFO in Wales.’
