Among the ranch’s most impressive features is its “dramatic” cave, with an Artesian-type water feature discharging an estimated 19,000 gallons of water a day and captured for decades in a 40,000-gallon cistern. Large lakes and creek tributaries are found throughout the property.

A private runway: Famed architect Victor Hugo Salas Sr., who is known for his custom-made wood and iron constructions and precision millwork, is selling his Pleasanton mansion for $4.9 million. The 6,243-square-foot estate sits on 147 acres in the city of Pleasanton, just south of San Antonio.

The property is so massive that it has its own runway for an airplane.

Lazy River Ranch: About an hour from San Antonio and seven miles from downtown Boerne is the $7.3 million Lazy River Ranch. The name says it all. The ranch contains its own private lazy river, according to listing agent Kris Forks with Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty.

The main house overlooks a canyon that has live water springs and a custom-built 1,400-square-foot pool house with one bedroom and one bath.

To go along with the lazy river is an Olympic-sized swimming pool with a slide and waterfall.
