2022 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live updates, golf coverage, FedEx Cup Playoffs scores

[ad_1]

The richest payday in PGA Tour history has arrived. With $58 million to be split up 30 ways, 29 golfers (not including the injured Will Zalatoris) will battle for the $18 million first prize at East Lake over the final 18 holes at the 2022 Tour Championship. Second ($6.5 million) and third ($5 million) place aren’t too bad either, but the top of the leaderboard is only looking at one spot.

The big question Sunday is whether Scottie Scheffler, who entered East Lake with a two-stroke lead and saw it balloon to five only to lead by one at the end of play Saturday, can hold on to his advantage now that the third round is complete. Scheffler (-23) scored birdie on four of his last six third-round holes Sunday morning to push his lead to six on the entire field. Behind him, Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy (-17) are tied for second entering the final round. McIlroy birdied three of his last six third-round holes to post a 63, one shot off the lowest score of the week, while Schauffele went without a birdie on his back nine, scoring 2 over for a 70 to slide back and take the pressure off Scheffler.

With the fourth round beginning in Atlanta, let’s take a look at the key tee times for the top of the leaderboard. The full set of tee times can be found in the live updates below. All times Eastern

  • 1:28 p.m. — Justin Thomas (-15), Patrick Cantlay (-16)
  • 1:39 p.m. — Sungjae Im (-16), Xander Schauffele (-17)
  • 1:50 p.m. — Rory McIlroy (-17), Scottie Scheffler (-23)
